Marissa A. Ross is a writer, author, collage artist and former comedian. She has made a career out of blending comedy with her deep (and often irreverent) love of wine. Best known for her tenure as the wine editor of Bon Appétit and her book Wine. All The Time.: The Casual Guide to Confident Drinking, she built a dedicated following with her signature style of knowledgeable tasting notes, hilarious analogies, and a refreshing lack of pretension. Ross has become one of the loudest voices in the modern wine world by championing natural wine, advocating for better industry practices and going on her notorious rants.
“Brutally honest and sometimes chaotic, but always entertaining and rooted in genuine passion.”

Ross also creates striking, surreal collages under the name Stepdad. Drawing from her extensive collection of vintage books and magazines, she transforms mid-century imagery into layered compositions that blend nostalgia, humor and the absurdity of society, often exploring themes of outdated social norms, sexism and discrimination. Each piece is a conversation between eras, with a wink to both the kitschy and the profound. The collages are one of a kind using originally sourced, physical imagery and without any digital editing.
Ross lives in Los Angeles with her Pomeranian, Groucho Barx, and is represented by CAA. She loves basketball (go Clippers), listening to exotica and rap, looking through Slim Aarons coffee table books and sunbathing.
