Marissa A. Ross is a Los Angeles–based writer, collage artist, and basketball obsessive. While her background is in comedy writing and performing, Ross made her mark as Bon Appétit’s first-ever Wine Editor and the author of Wine. All The Time., based on her award-winning blog of the same name. Her work redefined how new generations talk about wine—with humor, honesty, and zero pretension.
Her writing and essays have appeared in The Los Angeles Times, Elle,VICE, Wine Enthusiast and others, blending personal narrative with sharp cultural commentary. She now publishes essays on her Substack, From Marissa A. Ross.
Ross is also the creator of Stepdad Collages, an ongoing analog collage project that transforms mid-century domestic imagery into surreal, feminist meditations on love, labor, and liberation. Her work bridges nostalgia and rebellion, finding beauty and bite in the past and present.
When she’s not deep in a pile of vintage magazines or drafting essays, Ross can be found (nearly) courtside running NBA with MAR, her Substack dedicated to the Los Angeles Clippers, yelling at NBA games on TV, and basketball culture.
